Mike Frie
Lead Pastor, Elder
Mike Frie serves as the Lead Pastor of Metro Harvest Church, where he has faithfully led the congregation for over 30 years. With a deep love for God, a heart for people, and a clear vision for life-giving ministry, Mike is committed to guiding the church according to its mission and values while raising up future leaders for the Kingdom.
Mike received Christ as a teenager and was mentored in ministry by several spiritual fathers, including Pastor Howard E. Wright, Dr. James Clark, Pastor Bill Ronzheimer Ph.D, and Dr. Roderick Aguillard. At age 23, he moved to Israel as a missionary, working, studying, and sharing Christ with locals. He later received leadership training in Scotland and returned to his hometown of Cedarburg, WI, where he served as an elder at Alliance Bible Church in Mequon and married his best friend, Michelle.
In the 1990s, Mike and Michelle were part of a team sent by the Network of Related Pastors (NRP) to help plant a new church in Menomonee Falls. Sensing a clear call to the pastorate, Mike was ordained and installed as Lead Pastor of what would become Metro Harvest Church.
Mike’s ministry philosophy is to lead out of the overflow of a life fully devoted to loving God with heart, soul, mind, and strength. At Metro Harvest, he focuses on preaching, visioneering, and mentoring men and women for leadership. He also serves on the national leadership team of NRP, oversees five other churches, and partners with ARC (Association of Related Churches) to support and strengthen church leaders across the U.S. and internationally.
Passionate about community engagement, Mike serves on the Board of Directors for the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce and hosts "Business & Faith," a quarterly luncheon for area business leaders. His wife, Michelle, also plays a vital role in the community as the Business Improvement District Director for downtown Menomonee Falls.
Mike was formally trained for ministry by being mentored through the Minister’s Training Institute (M.T.I.) by Dr. James Clark. He is an avid learner with interests in theology, history, aviation, business, and music. A skilled woodworker and licensed pilot, he enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life.
Mike and Michelle have been married for over 37 years . They have three children—Eli (Monica), Aaron, and Olivia (Patrick)—and recently welcomed their first grandchild, Franklyn. They remain passionate about seeing lives transformed and the spiritual climate of the metro-Milwaukee area changed through healthy churches, sound doctrine, authentic relationships, and faithful service.
